Let's talk about air pollution
Breathing air pollution is as bad as smoking
Air pollution is a silent and invisible killer.
During November 2017 in Delhi, people were breathing in air that was as bad as smoking 50 cigarettes, when pollution was highest.
Pollutants are invisible and long-lasting
The major pollutants are particulate matter (PM), ground-level ozone, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide. These pollutants can last in our environment for days, months, or years.
Particular matter (PM) is especially high in India. PM is 30 times smaller than a human hair, so it can dissolve in your blood easily. It can cause substantial damage to your health.
Pollution is killing us and our planet
Air pollution hurts our health, ruins the climate, damages our farms/ plants, and destroys Earth.
Where does air pollution come from?
Air pollution around the world affects us outdoors and indoors.
Outdoor air pollution kills
4.2 million globally.
Indoor air pollution kills 3.8 million globally.
